Aaron B. Heath, DO, FACR

Dr. Heath received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, where he attained the position of Chief Resident. Dr. Heath completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the Medical Center in Largo, Florida. He is board-certified in Rheumatology.

Dr. Heath has published numerous journal articles and chapters covering various rheumatological, as well as, general medical conditions. During his fellowship training, he lectured at multiple hospital grand rounds and also directed a rheumatology lecture series for doctors in training. He has presented research posters across the country, winning first place at the American College of Physicians Associates Meeting in Florida in 2013 and at the Largo Medical Center Scholarly Activity Poster Competition in 2015.

In his approach to treating rheumatologic diseases, Dr. Heath brings with him a solid knowledge base, plus enthusiasm and compassion. He employs state-of the-art treatment and diagnostic modalities to optimize outcomes for his patients. Dr. Heath has extensive experience with the use of diagnostic ultrasound for imaging of muscles and joints.

Dr. Heath strives to increase the understanding of a diagnosis, which enables patients to participate more fully in their recovery, while employing therapeutic techniques to help patients feel well and function at their personal best.

Mohammad Oreizi-Esfahani MD FACR

Dr. Esfahani received his medical degree from St. Joseph University School of Medicine in Lebanon. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus where he was appointed chief resident. Subsequently, he obtained his Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical System. Dr. Esfahani is currently board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology.

Prior to joining Carroll Arthritis, Dr. Esfahani served as the Head Division of Rheumatology and the Medical Director of the Ambulatory Clinic at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus. He has spent many years teaching younger physicians about the practice of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. His dedication to his students has been demonstrated by the numerous Golden Apple Awards that he has been granted which recognized him as the Best Teaching Attending.

He has also received many accolades highlighting his dedication and commitment to delivering quality patient care. Most notably, he was presented with the prestigious City of Baltimore Mayor's Citation. He has also been recognized as Doctor of the Year for three consecutive years and was a finalist for the Health Care Hero Award.

Dr. Esfahani's philosophy in practicing Rheumatology centers around the principle of "Do no Harm". His treatment approach is based on life-style modifications rather than the sole use of medications. He focuses on educating his patients about their health problems and working with them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment.

Pamela A. Brown, CNRP

I am a proud resident of Carroll County, having lived here for 27 years where my husband, Joseph Brown, and I raised our family.

I received my undergraduate degree in nursing from Towson University and my master's degree in nursing from the University of Maryland. My board certification as an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner is through the Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I am a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Nurse Disaster Management Team.

I have more than 20 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal disorders. My work experience was gained at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the University of Maryland Medical Center, and a private rheumatology practice. My passion is to provide compassionate care and treatment to patients, and my clinical interests include the following disorders:
